Want To Change Your Life? Here Are The Only 2 Ways To Do It…

Do you want to change your life? If you’re reading this, I’m going to assume the answer is ‘yes.’ Now, here’s the good news. The process of improving your life circumstances is simpler than you think. In fact, there are only 2 real ways you can change your life. And we’ll get to those 2 methods in a moment.

But first, there’s a caveat you need to know about… Just because the process of changing your life is simple doesn’t mean it will be easy (or even enjoyable). But don’t let that deter you. You are a child of the Creator.

As such, you have the potential to create whatever you want. With that being said, here are the 2 only methods you can use to change your life.

1. One Little Degree At A Time

This method is slow, steady, and consistent—it’s the tortoise that beats the hare. It entails making small shifts and adjustments to your daily routine over a prolonged period of time. Every minor improvement you make facilitates and encourages the next improvement. As a result, your life will slowly begin to take on new dimensions and meaning as you incrementally improve yourself.

This doesn’t need to be a challenging process. In fact, here are a few easy ways you can get started toward your personal growth:

Wake Up Earlier

Most successful people wake up early. As such, becoming an early riser, if you’re not already, can drastically improve your outlook on life. You’ll become more productive, feel clearer mentally, and have more peace of mind. It’s a keystone habit that can lead to other healthier habits if you can stick with it. So, start getting up early.

Take Small Steps Toward Huge Goals

You don’t need to do much to change your life. You just need to stay consistent with a few simple habits for a long enough period of time. Try setting some small SMART goals in every area of your life: physical health, relationships, finances, etc. These short-term goals help to build confidence and momentum.

Eat Real Food

Most people’s bad habit is eating too much junk food. Look, I’m not calling the kettle black; Lord knows I enjoy my cheat days. However, if every day is your cheat day, that’s a problem. Start eating clean, healthy, real food if you want to change your life. This is one of these healthy habits we all need to get on board with.

Pray Or Immerse Yourself In Scripture

You should do this on a daily basis. Giving some of your team to God each day is a powerful tool most people don’t understand. However, research has shown that religious people tend to lead happier, more peaceful lives than their non-religious counterparts.

The idea behind these micro-improvements is that you want them to be so small that you can easily do them every day. And the “every day” part is critical. Why? Because lasting change occurs slowly with consistent and deliberate effort. Building new and better habits is a process that takes time to unfold.

By making tiny adjustments over extended periods, you give yourself the time to “catch up” to the habits. Here’s why that is important…

It will feel unnatural to perform these new acts for a time. For this reason, you need a set period to “grow into” the new habits you’re trying to adopt. And that’s why this strategy is so effective; you’re giving yourself the time you need to change and grow.

This is the balanced approach to change.

2. Nuke The Whole Thing

You don’t have to wait for months or years to change your life. In fact, you can revolutionize everything overnight or in a matter of days or weeks. There’s nothing stopping you from “nuking” your life right now. This strategy is extreme; however, it has its place. It can be very effective if your life circumstances call for a rigorous change, fast. Here are some examples where a radical change may be appropriate:

  • You’re trapped in a job with a toxic work culture
  • You have massive amounts of debt, making a small income
  • Depression, anxiety, and mental health issues plague you due to poor lifestyle choices

In short, you can consider “nuking” your life when you’re back is against the wall and you’re faced with serious circumstances. This is the radical approach to change.

My Advice

If you want to change your life, you might wonder which option is best for you. Here’s my advice. And understand, I’ve used both approaches before. I’ve changed my life day by day, one little degree at a time, and I’ve also nuked the whole thing, revolutionizing my entire life in a matter of days. So, I speak from personal experience when I say it’s much better to change slowly, one degree at a time.

You want to move in a balanced way. This approach gives you time to adjust to change as you make steady improvements and grow into a better and higher quality of life. This advice may not be what you want to hear if you’re impatient or have found yourself in challenging times. But trust me, balancing your life matters.

Take your personal growth journey slowly. This level of thinking allows you to create a simple plan for a happier life. Don’t bite off more than you can chew; I’ve touched that hot stove, and it’s not something I’d recommend.
